The Bridge

Dreamers and Builders of the Future — how you reach toward others, and whether you believe people can change.

How you meet others

Four facets, not one score — they can pull in different directions for the same person.

Before I judge a disagreement, I try to really see it from the other side.

When two people I care about are in conflict, I can usually see how both are right.

I get pulled into stories — books, films — as if I were living them.

A character's fear or joy can stay with me after the story ends.

When someone is struggling, I feel real warmth and concern for them.

Seeing someone treated unfairly moves something in me, even as a bystander.

In a tense or emotional room, I can feel overwhelmed by what's happening around me.

Someone else's crisis can become my own crisis, even when it isn't mine to carry.

Can people change?

Where your own answers land between "people's character is fixed" and "people can genuinely change."

Someone's basic character is set early on, and doesn't really shift after that.

Given the right conditions, people can genuinely become someone different than who they were.

I mostly relate to people as who they've always been, not who they might become.

I've watched people change in ways I didn't think were possible for them.
